We have a lot
we want to build.
Sarwa Systems is based in Louisville, Kentucky. We work across creative production, software, science, and physical design because useful ideas rarely stay inside one field. We want to make ordinary life better and expand what people and communities can do.
How we work ↓Our approach
Think broadly.
Get something working.
We start with the need, the people involved, and the conditions something has to work in. Then we make it, test it, and improve it. A prototype should teach us what to do next.
A useful idea can come from almost anywhere. We draw on engineering, art, science, history, and many cultural traditions, and we welcome people who see things differently.
A shared purpose
Inspired by many traditions. Built for everyone.
- Make useful things accessible to more people.
- Keep people in control of the tools they use.
- Plan for things to break, change, and need repair.
- Be clear about what we know and what we are still testing.
- Use what we learn on one project to make the next one better.
Our domains
Four domains.
Work that connects.
Studios
Creative production, original games, stories, media, and physical experiences.
02Softworks
Software for real work, resilient networks, community computing, and engineering.
03Sciences
Research into intelligence, energy, Earth, living systems, and the possibilities beyond.
04Structures
Homes, useful objects, accessibility, mobility, energy, and communications hardware.
Earth to the stars
Start here.
Keep looking further.
We are interested in satellites, flight, new energy systems, and what people might eventually build beyond Earth. The work starts here: useful tools, capable software, materials, manufacturing, and infrastructure that improves daily life. Each thing we learn should help us reach a little further.
